Enjoy an apple themed weekend at the beautiful National Trust property of Llanerchaeron near Aberaeron.
What is it?
This fun Apple Weekend is a celebration of the humble apple! Held within the lovely grounds of Llanerchaeron, it’s a chance to discover over 50 different apple varieties that will be on show, as well as enjoy demonstrations of apple pressing.
If you have apple trees at home and you’re not sure what varieties you have, then you can also take along your apples to be identified! If you’re planning to do this then they advise that when picking your apples make sure you include the stalk and a leaf to help with the identification.
There will also be a range of stalls selling apple themed produce – and other items – ensuring that there is plenty to discover at this special autumn event.
When does it take place?
The Apple Weekend takes place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October – so not long to wait! The event is open from 10am until 4pm each day, giving plenty of opportunity to head along and discover the best apples of the autumn season.

Discover Llanerchaeron
Historic Llanerchaeron is home to a wonderful Georgian villa, designed by John Nash, as well as beautiful grounds, a lake and the productive walled garden. While you’re here take time to explore the villa and gardens, as well as the historic farm buildings. There are also play areas for families in the stables, the farmyard and a grass maze in the garden, as well as animals to meet, ensuring a lovely day out for all the family.
The property also has Conti’s Cafe and a second-hand bookshop, as well as lovely riverside walks.
