We are committed to our local communities and as part of this we’re excited to announce the two charities we will be supporting in 2026/27.
The two local charities we’ve chosen are Hedgely Hogspital Rescue and Pembrokeshire Hogspital – both do some incredible work protecting the hedgehogs of Wales and we’re looking forward to supporting their activity.
With a national love for hedgehogs – the European hedgehog is even set to feature on the Bank of England’s new bank notes – we wanted to do our part to help protect them for the future. Throughout the year we’ll be donating £10 for every property sale we make to each of these charities – read more about them below and on their websites if you’d like to support them.

Hedgely Hogspital Rescue
Founded in 2015, Hedgely Hogspital Rescue is a small hedgehog hospital based in South West Wales. It takes in and rehabilitates over 100 sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs every year – with the aim of releasing each one back into the wild.
Their ethos and mission is –
- To care for sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs using veterinary guidance.
- To release all animals that are deemed capable of surviving in the wild.
- To increase public awareness about the decline in hedgehogs, the hazards they face, and to encourage children to respect hedgehogs and take an interest in them.
They also offer educational events and talks for children about hedgehog conservation and are registered carers and rehabilitators for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.
You can follow their incredible work on Facebook and if you’d like to donate it’s easy through their website.

Pembrokeshire Hogspital
The inspiration for Hedgely Hogspital, Pembrokeshire Hogspital rescues, rehabilitates & releases sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs & hoglets. They are completely self-funded, relying on public donations and support to ensure their work continues.
A lot of their funds come from Easyfundraising – which means you can shop at no additional cost and support the work the Pembrokeshire Hogspital does. You can find out more on their website and on their social media pages.
Their website contains lots of useful information on what to do if you find a poorly hedgehog or hoglet and other helpful advice to ensure we protect these special creatures.
