I was born in the rural village of Sarnau, 10 miles north of the beautiful and popular market town of Cardigan, one mile from the idyllic National Trust beach of Penbryn. My parents still live in our family home and most of my siblings and extended family live locally. My first language is Welsh, and I attended Penmorfa primary school, a local school which has since been closed, followed by Cardigan secondary school.
I started off my working career with horses, firstly working for a show pony yard, progressing to a riding school as a teacher. When I was 20 I moved away for four years to pursue a career in horse racing in and around the Newmarket area. But realising that there is no place quite like home, I moved back in 1997 and set up my own horse-related business.
In 2001, when my son was two years old, I changed work direction and retrained in office and administration work. I started a new career first of all in office administration, progressing to a job in estate agency in 2007 for three years, then on to working for a large online company as a marketing and commercial manager, specialising in car hire and holiday lets. I did this for over eight years before returning to estate agency, which is where my passion lies.
Throughout the years, in parallel with my work, I undertook training courses to help advance my knowledge and become certified in the areas I was working. For example, I obtained my Clait Plus OCR Level 2 and my OCR Level 3 Diploma in text processing in 2004 and my Prince2 Practitioner project management qualification in 2011. And qualified as an MNAEA estate agent in 2017.
I love helping people find the right property for their needs, which in turn helps my clients move on to their next dream home! My experience with horses and love for the outdoors, means I am extremely helpful in offering sound advice to anyone looking for a property with land. And my expertise and knowledge from the online marketing and e-commerce world means I can keep the business ahead of the curve with technological advances.
I now live in a rural village with my husband Mark, our rescue dog, two rescue cats & two horses.
