The remains and ruins of an old Augustinian Priory, said to date back to 1200, have been discovered and repaired to offer more insight into this towns interesting past.

The streets are lined with many independent retailers as well as your normal commercial shops.  There are plenty of eateries and pubs dotted around which make for excellent relaxing places to recharge while exploring this lovely market town. 

Withybush Retail Park on the outskirts of the town houses many large retail outlets with designer shops and offers a modern shopping experience for its visitors.  All of this, together with the usual supermarkets the town has to offer, gives residents and visitors all the amenities you would expect from a large town.

The hospital in the town, Withybush Hospital, being a modern district hospital, it offers a major A&E department and also with its 260 beds it offers major acute treatment for its inpatients and has an outpatient department.

Haverfordwest has a train station which runs regular services to Milford Haven, Carmarthen, (with links on to the Midlands and London).

The main road link to the town is along the A40 from the M4 bringing you to the west of Wales and Pembrokeshire.  From Haverfordwest you can access the many beautiful sandy beaches that Pembrokeshire has to offer and all the many tourist attractions on offer in the area.
