We’re counting down to Christmas here at Cardigan Bay Properties! In the run up to the festive season West Wales comes alive with Christmas markets and events. 

Here we bring you our calendar of what’s happening – why not let us know of any others we’ve missed?

Dinefwr Christmas Fair 21 to 23 November (10am – 4pm) 

A magical location for a very special Christmas fair at Dinefwr Estate! With plenty of exhibitors selling local crafts and gift ideas, there’s also festive foods and entertainment. 

Alongside the fun of the fair, Newton House will also be beautifully decorated for Christmas. The house hosts Santa in his grotto for ‘Santa Sundays’ on 7, 14 and 21 December (from 11am – 3pm). Booking is essential to visit Santa – click here to book. Each Sunday starts with an Additional Learning Needs session, suitable for anyone who would prefer a session with a slower, more relaxed pace – click here to book.

Picton Castle Christmas Fair 22 & 23 November

The beautiful Picton Castle Christmas Fair brings together wonderful local artisans and crafters, festive music and food and drink, creating a very special opportunity to get into the festive spirit.

Pembroke Castle Christmas Market28 Nov 10am to 8pm; 29 Nov 10am to 6pm; 30 Nov 10am to 4pm

This is a free event and offers plenty of opportunities to celebrate and find that special gift! The Christmas Market takes place in the Outer Ward of the castle, with stalls housed in marquees situated around The Great Map of Wales that is housed in the center of the castle grounds. Discover local food and drinks, crafts and more.

Cardigan Castle Christmas Fair29 November (10am to 4pm)

Get into the festive spirit at this wonderful fair in the beautiful setting of Cardigan Castle. With a Santa’s Grotto, festive food, mulled wine and over 40 stalls selling a range of unique gift ideas, come along and join in the fun!

Cardigan Giant Lantern Parade5 December and Festive Light Trail – 29 November to 2 January 2026

Save the date for the Cardigan Giant Lantern Parade, which is taking place as part of Cardigan’s Festival of Light. With magical festive lights and a Christmas tree all lit up, this year there is also a Festive Light Trail through the town. The light trail will see giant lanterns, Christmas lights and other illuminated artworks running through Cardigan, creating a magical experience.

Christmas Fair at Llanerchaeron5, 6 & 7 December (10am to 4pm)

The whole family can enjoy the festivities at lovely Llanerchaeron this Christmas. Take a winter walk in the parkland, try a wreath-making workshop and explore the Christmas Fair where over 70 local food and craft producers come together to show their creations. Everything from mulled wine and mince pies to artisan treats and the beautifully decorated villa are yours to discover!

The Winter Walks take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 November – 21 December. You can visit the gardens, farmyard, lake and a second hand bookshop – a wonderful weekend activity for all ages.

Santa Claus will also be making an appearance on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December from 11am to 3pm.

Entry is free for members, £8 for adults, £4 for children.  Booking not required.

Aberglasney Winter Fair5 to 7 December (10am to 4.30pm)

Christmas festivities return to Aberglasney again this year, with The Gardens set to host this popular event. With an abundance of handpicked exhibitors – including artists, crafts people and designers – there’s plenty of opportunity to find handmade decorations, art, homewares and unique gifts. 

There’s also a food marquee where you can stock up on festive treats from some of the region’s best artisan food and drink producers. From festive drinks and chocolates to cakes and chutneys, there’s plenty to discover.

Llandysul Christmas Fair6 December (2pm to 6pm)

The magic of Christmas comes to Llandysul on Saturday 6 December! With the main street closed to traffic, the town comes alive with food and craft stalls selling everything you need for a Christmas celebration. There are also street food stalls and a range of musical entertainment taking place throughout the day. 

The magician and juggler Gizmo will be performing and there’ll be a puppet show by the Arcade, as well as an opportunity to meet the Alpacas.

Santa will also be in town, with Santa’s Grotto taking place in the Church Hall – book your place on 01559 363874. When evening falls the town comes alive with The Santa Parade, featuring vintage tractors, lanterns and of course Santa himself!

Offering festive fun for all the family, you can also explore Llandysul’s charming local shops, which will all be offering plenty of Christmas cheer.

Llys-y-Frân Christmas Fair6 to 7 December (10am to 4pm)

Each year Llys-y-frân transforms its visitor centre into a world of Christmas delights! 

This year you can discover stalls selling artisan gift ideas, including local crafts, candles, jewellery, clothing and home items. There are also beautiful Christmas decorations and of course festive food and drink ideas.
